If you are pl anning to visit Alonnisos, and would enjoy staying in a unique country location, you may like to consider renting our studio at Cyclamen Cottage.

It is located in a lovely old olive grove at “Stenochorafa”, which is shown on the map and literally means “narrow field”. The area is covered in cyclamen, cistus, orchids, sea squills and of course wonderful olive trees.
Cyclamen Cottage is located at the end of a fairly rough dirt road, having already passed the picturesque old church of The Panagia and fresh water spring at Vouno, and has some of the best 360 degree views on the island. (A hire car is essential, preferably a 4 wheel drive which we can organize for you if you wish)

The studio has uninterrupted views across to the islands of Peristera, Dio Adelphi, Skantzoura, Skyros and Evia on the one side and to Skopelos and the Pelion on the other. The studio terrace faces directly across the bay of Megali Ammos to the 13th century chapel of Agii Anargiri.


Location

You will be able to see the sunrise and the sunset every day and have your own private roof terrace for star watching at night or simply watching the aerial acrobatics of the many Eleonora’s Falcons that nest on the cliffs. The nearest beach is Tsoukalia (also an archaeological site), a steep 20 minute downhill walk through olive groves and pine forest. By car it is a 10 minute drive to the main harbour of Patitiri or several other beaches nearby. There are some lovely walks which can be made from Cyclamen Cottage and I would be pleased to provide any guidance.

The studio is self-contained and has its own private entrance. The accommodation comprises a double bedroom, en-suite shower/wc, kitchenette with fridge ans small cooker, Sky TV and stereo. The studio is centrally heated and therefore suitable for out of season visits. There are two private ground floor terraces and a large roof terrace.

As we share our house with several cats and dogs, animal lovers would be particularly welcome!
